Whose Draupadi - Prakash Jha's or Rituparno Ghosh's?

Bollywood has always been inspired by epics. There have been several spin-offs of 'Ramayan" and 'Mahabharat", including the recent Raavan and Raajneeti! While the former failed at the box-office, the latter scored! The latest popular subject seems to be the enigmatic Draupadi!

Draupadi and the infamous vastraharan are legendary! Filmmaker Prakash Jha, buoyed by success of his Rajneeti, is enamoured with Mahabharat. However, prolific director Rituparno Ghosh is reportedly planning his next along the same lines. While Jha hopes to rope in Hollywood hottie Angelina Jolie, the latter plans to cast the Bong diva Bipasha Basu!

Prakash Jha has been considering this premise for a long time now. At the onset he had planned the project with Madhuri Dixit in mind for the lead. But now he plans to make it on an international platform and hopes to cast the Tomb Raider star in it. Rituda on the other hand wants his Draupadi to be dark and attractive. So Bipasha seems to be an apt choice. Both ladies are glamourous, intense and top-notch stars. So who will be the modern-age Draupadi? Let"s wait and watch!
