Irrfan
Khan
played
drama
queen
on
the
sets
of
Irrfan
Kamal's
production
Bangkok
Blues.
The
actor,
apparently
out
of
insecurity,
also
refused
to
dub
for
the
film,
which
features
Deepal
Shaw
and
Ranvir
Shorey
as
well.
According
to
a
unit
member
from
Bangkok
Blues,
"Irrfan
has
been
very
insecure
about
Deepal.
Every
day
of
shooting
was
a
nightmare
because
when
he
immediately
become
conscious
of
the
fact
that
Shaw's
role
was
stronger
than
his.
He
threatened
to
disrupt
shooting
until
they
made
his
role
the
meatier
one.
Our
poor
director
Navneet
Baj
Saini
had
to
change
the
scenes.
We
were
in
Bangkok,
after
all,
and
could
not
afford
delays."
Deepal
is
the
protagonist
in
Bangkok
Blues
and
this
apparently
didn't
go
down
well
with
Irrfan.
The
source
adds,
"Khan
felt
the
film
had
become
too
woman-centric.
As
the
bigger
star,
he
felt
her
deserved
better
coverage.
After
shooting
ended,
he
also
refused
to
dub
for
the
film.
Only
after
producer
Irrfan
Kamal
complained
to
the
IMPPA
(Indian
Motion
Pictures
Producers'
Association)
and
the
actor
was
issued
a
warning,
did
Khan
finally
complete
dubbing."
Producer
Kamal
says,
"All
I
can
say
is
that
Irrfan
is
the
film's
main
lead
along
with
Deepal
and
they
both
have
given
brilliant
performances.
I
have
heard
about
their
cold
war
continuing
even
after
shooting
ended
but
would
not
like
to
comment
on
their
personal
matter."
What
about
his
refusal
to
dub?
Offers
Kamal,
"We
had
paid
Irrfan
but
he
was
unable
to
give
us
dates.
As
per
IMPPA
law,
we
had
to
inform
them.
They,
in
turn,
got
us
the
dubbing
dates
from
Irrfan.
He
has
completed
his
parts
and
the
film
will
release
soon."
Irrfan
Khan
remained
unavailable
for
comment.
