It
was
reported
that
director
Madhur
Bhandarkar
has
decided
to
reschedule
the
shooting
of
his
film
Heroine
on
learning
that
its
female
lead
Aishwarya
Rai
Bachchan
is
pregnant.
But
the
latest
we
hear
is
that
he
has
decided
to
shelve
it
once
and
for
all.
Sources
said
that
the
director
was
forced
to
drop
the
film,
as
he
realised
that
he
just
couldn't
finish
the
film
within
the
dates
that
Aishwarya
has
allotted.
Moreover,
the
remaining
portion
of
the
film
has
some
intense
and
dark
scenes,
which
is
not
advisable
for
a
pregnant
woman.
It
seems
Bhandarkar
is
concerned,
as
he
is
sure
that
Aishwarya's
baby
bump
would
be
visible
even
if
he
continues
shooting.
Moreover,
she
wouldn't
be
available
for
the
post-production
and
promotional
work.
“About
Rs.3.5-4
crore
have
gone
down
the
drain.
About
ten
days
of
the
shoot
were
completed
at
a
set
in
Vile
Parle,
Mumbai.
The
special
set
was
erected
and
a
red
light
area
was
recreated
in
it.
Madhur
was
really
excited
about
this
movie.
But
because
of
the
circumstances,
he
has
no
option
but
to
shelve
the
project.
No
one
anticipated
this
situation," Mid
Day
quoted
a
close
friend
of
the
director
as
saying.
