According
to
reports
in
the
media
Akshay
Kumar
is
likely
to
replace
Amitabh
Bachchan
as
the
face
of
IIFA
awards,
which
will
be
held
in
Toronto
this
year.
Though
the
Sabbas
Joseph,
the
director
of
Wizcraft
in
his
statement
confirmed
that
Bachchan's
are
the
integral
part
of
IIFA
and
they
two
cannot
part
way,
reports
about
Akki
becoming
the
brand
ambassador
of
IIFA
is
in
the
air.
Earlier,
when
Amitabh
Bachchan
tweeted
that
the
Bachchan's
are
not
coming
to
IIFA
because
the
IIFA
people
donot
want
them
to
be
their
and
thus
they
are
not
invited,
Sabbas
tried
to
make
up
by
saying,
“"We'd
like
nothing
better
than
to
have
them
attend
in
Toronto
as
guests.
Mr
Bachchan
has
added
invaluably
to
IIFA,
but
now
the
brand
doesn't
need
an
ambassador.
We
would
not
even
have
announced
that
Mr
Bachchan
is
no
more
the
brand
ambassador
if
he
had
not
tweeted
about
it.
To
us
it
makes
no
difference,
our
relationship
with
Mr
Bachchan
and
his
family
remains
unchanged."
Adding
further
explained
why
they
thought
to
do
away
with
the
brand
ambassador
concept,
he
said,
“Every
time
a
member
of
one
family
won
an
award
or
presented
an
event
there
would
be
a
hue
and
cry
about
one
family
monopolizing
IIFA.
This
was
so
unfair.
How
many
awards
did
Mr
Bachchan
and
his
family
win
in
the
10
years
of
IIFA's
existence?
He
got
one
for
"Black",
which
he
himself
collected
and
another
for
"Paa"
(in
Sri
Lanka)
which
he
did
not
attend."
Though
Sabbas
insisted
on
Bachchans
still
being
an
intergral
part
of
IIFA,
nothing
between
the
two
seems
to
be
working.
Last
year
when
Mr.
Bachchan
was
not
present
for
the
IIFA
in
Srilanka,
Salman
Khan
took
up
the
job
of
Big
B
and
opened
the
evening.
So
will
it
be
Akshay
as
the
face
of
IIFA
in
Toronto
this
year?
