Bipasha Basu replaces Vidya Balan in Ghayal Returns

Vidya Balan, who is off late making headlines, thanks to her bold role that she has essayed in The Dirty Picture has reportedly opted out of Sunny Deol starrer Ghayal Returns citing date issues. However, according to sources, the real reason behind Vidya's decision is to avoid diverting the attention away from her role in The Dirty Picture. The Dirty Picture is based on the life of south siren Silk Smitha.

It is being rumoured that Vidya Balan wants to assess the box-office reception of Ekta Kapoor's The Dirty Picture, before signing any other film.

Since Vidya has decided to opt out of Ghayal Returns,the makers have now approached Bipasha Basu. Ghayal Returns, to be directed by Ashwini Chowdhury was expected to release in November. However, the film has now been postponed to early next year.

After Vidya decided against doing Ghayal Returns, the film makers have been looking out for a suitable replacement. That is when Bipasha Basu, who is already working with director Ashwini Chowdhury for another film offered to fill in for Vidya.
