Why Chitrangada Singh opted out of Hrithik's Krrish 2

Chitrangada Singh, who was to do a role in Hrithik Roshan starrer Krrish 2 apparently walked out of the film since producer Rakesh Roshan refused to pay for her extended staff.

Chitrangada had some time back walked out of Krrish 2 citing date problems. However, the buzz in the industry was that the actress walked out of the film as she felt that her role in the film was too short as compared to the biggies – Hrithik Roshan, Priyanka Chopra and Vivek Oberoi. Though that is not untrue, there is more to it.

Apparently, Krrish 2 producer Rakesh Roshan refused to pay for her extended staff. Rakesh Roshan is very tight fisted when it comes to expenditure on the sets. Chitrangada apparently wanted her own make up person, hairdresser, attendants and other staff who attend to her during the filming. Normally, it is the producers who pay for their costs. However, Rakesh Roshan thought that as Chitrangada's role was that of a mutant in Krrish 2, the make up people that he had hired for the entire unit would be enough for her as well.

Chitrangada was not very happy with the decision as she felt there was no point in shelling from her own pocket. This, coupled with her cameo role in the film was enough for her to opt out of the project.
