Shahrukh Khan's wife Gauri Khan gifted with old Volkswagen model?

Shahrukh Khan's wife Gauri Khan was gifted Phaeton, a luxury sedan by Volkswagens to celebrate its association with the upcoming film, Ra.One. The event took place at a star studded evening in Mumbai.

As Shahrukh Khan is brand ambassador for Hyundai in India, he could not accept a brand that he does not endorse himself. However, his wife, Gauri Khan, who is also the producer of Ra.One accepted the luxurious gift. Volkswagens cars like the Beetle, Phaeton and Touareg have been used for many of the action sequences in Ra.One.

However, if the buzz is true, then the model that Gauri was gifted will soon be removed from the market and will in turn be replaced by a new one. Volkswagen is apparently offering a discount of Rs 25 lakh on Phaeton! Yes, you read it right....this no typing error!

Gauri looked visibly delighted on receiving the beautiful Phaeton while hubby Shahrukh Khan smiled and looked on. While SRK kept a low profile throughout the event, and did not talk or pose much, Gauri's excitement was evident as she posed for the camera and interacted with people.

Wonder whether Gauri Khan is aware that she has been pampered with an old German luxury car which is being offered at a discount of a whooping Rs 25 lakh!
