Genelia D'souza and Riteish Deshmukh are engaged?

Genelia D'souza and Riteish Deshmukh, who have been dating each other for the over seven years have apparently got engaged at a hush hush ceremony at the house of Riteish Deshmukh's father, Maharashtra CM Vilasrao Deshmukh's residence a fortnight ago.

If sources are to be believed, the family of the couple have been planning to get them married for some time now. An official engagement was hence the most appropriate thing to do.

Genelia and Riteish apparently went for a low key affair and did not invite any of their friends in Bollywood. Only a few family members and very close friends of the couple were present at the engagement.

A source revealed that though Genelia and Riteish have been dating each other for over seven years, they avoided talking about their relationship in public. However, they have made several public appearances at parties, award functions and on red carpets apart from doing several films together.

As per source, Riteish was always sure that he wanted to marry Genelia. However, it took him a while to convince his family who wanted him to get married to a girl from their community.
