Karan banking on Imran's popularity

Filmmaker Karan Johar means business. His film, Short Term Shaadi is completed and ready for release but the filmmaker seems to have intentionally delayed its release to cash in on the popularity of its lead actor Imran Khan.

Trade analysts are of the opinion that Karan has postponed the release of Short Term Shaadi starring Imran Khan and Kareena Kapoor just because of Imran's bad run after the success of his debut film Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na. However, he hopes that his upcoming releases Delhi Belly and Mere Brother Ki Dulhan will change his fortune altogether.

It looks like Karan is waiting for Imran's popularity and market prize to raise before the release of his film. This is smart move from the filmmaker!
