Murder 2, a copycat of Korean film?

The hype around Murder 2 has been so far so good. Critics too are all in praise for the film. But we learned that it is just a copycat of a Korean film titled, The Chaser, which was released in 2008.

The makers of Murder sequel may argue that it's just a coincidence but the truth is, its plot is similar to that of The Chaser. The Korean film revolves around a person who is into human trafficking. He in turn tries to track down a serial killer. Murder 2 is also about an ex-cop hired by a human trafficker to pin down a serial killer.

As if that's not enough, the poster of Murder 2 is uncannily similar to that of another Korean film titled Bad Guy. The posters of both the films has a girl looking at a photo frame of a guy while another person watches her from behind.

Whether it is a copycat film or not, Murder 2 featuring Emraan Hashmi and Jacqueline Fernandez has hit the theatres. It is directed by Mohit Suri and produced by Mukesh Bhatt.
