Ranbir Kapoor takes first step towards direction?

Ranbir Kapoor had earlier admitted that someday he aspires to become a director. Well, he has started working towards that aspiration. Actor Ranbir will be directing the behind the scene segment for his film Barfee, which also features Priyanka Chopra and south actress Ileana D'Cruz.

This section will shot as a short feature titled, 'The Making of Barfee'. This segment will appear on the film's DVD, post the theatrical release. A source from Mid Day reveals, “He is super-excited about directing the segment. It was director Anurag Basu's idea. He explained to RK that it should be made from an actor's perspective. He wants him to showcase his sensibility on cinema. Ranbir has assisted Sanjay Leela Bhansali during Black and has a good technical knowledge of film-making."

Ranbir will start capturing the moments when the shoots of the film will begin later this week. The source added, "He's going to have fun with both Priyanka and Ileana since they know him for his pranks. They jokingly complained that Ranbir would definitely pull some stunt on them." Reportedly, Ranbir will also edit the footage with Anurag.

Meanwhile, Siddharth Roy Kapoor of UTV Motion Pictures (the film's producers of Barfee) were tight lipped about the improvement and maintained that nothing has been confirmed yet.

Well, the idea seems to be very interesting. Hopefully, we will get to see Ranbir's talent into direction too.
