The news has it that it was Sanjay Leela Bhansali who broke the ice. He was impressed by Rani's performance in No One Killed Jessica, so much so that he sent congratulatory message to her in spite of the fact that they don't see eye to eye. Touched by his gesture, Rani called him. It is said that they talked for hours on phone and cleared their differences.
It may be recalled that Rani and Bhansali were thick friends once and worked together in Black and Saawariya. However, things turned out of hand after they exchanged angry text message over the title of Yash Raj Films' Dil Bole Hadippa. After keeping away from each other for a few years, they have finally decided to bury the hatchet for good.
All is well that ends well!
