Shahrukh wants Priyanka for 2 States

There is no dearth of Tamil actresses in Bollywood but filmmaker Vishal Bhardwaj and actor Shahrukh Khan have reportedly pinned down on Priyanka Chopra to play the role of a Tamilian in the adaptation of Chetan Bhagat's 2 States. They are convinced that she could pull off the role of a south Indian girl well.

It was earlier reported that Shahrukh had put 2 States on hold, as he thought only a new face could fit into the role and that Priyanka is too familiar to the film lovers. However, he seems to have a change of heart, convincing both producer Sajid Nadiadwala and director Vishal that the actress could pull off the character well. He has even reportedly told the actress to sign the film.

Well, it will be interesting to see a Punjabi girl playing the role of a South Indian girl. 2 States is expected to take off by the end of next year (2012).
