Actors
Emraan
Hashmi
and
Abhay
Deol,
who
are
busy
promoting
their
upcoming
movie
Shanghai,
have
reportedly
sent
summons
to
director
Dibakar
Banerjee
forcing
him
to
cut
short
his
Himalayan
vacation
to
return
to
promote
the
film.
The
director
is
said
to
have
obeyed
them
and
is
returning
to
Mumbai
on
30th
May.
Sources
say
that
Dibakar
Banerjee,
who
is
known
to
be
laid
back
during
pre-release
publicity,
had
taken
off
on
a
family
holiday
to
the
Himalayas.
He
reportedly
went
on
a
holiday
on
May
20
without
informing
the
cast
and
crew
of
the
movie
Shanghai
about
his
plans.
And
the
director
was
to
return
on
June
3.
But
Emraan
Hashmi
and
Abhay
Deol
who
have
started
their
interview
rounds
for
TV
channels,
were
very
upset
when
they
came
to
know
about
Dibakar
Banerjee's
plans.
They
gave
him
orders
to
march
back
home.
Dibaker
is
reportedly
returning
to
Mumbai
on
Wednesday
(May
30)
and
will
take
part
in
the
promotional
activities
of
Shanghai.
However,
Shanghai
is
a
political
thriller
film,
which
is
based
on
the
novel
'Z'
by
Vassilis
Vassilikos.
Directed
by
Dibakar
Banerjee,
the
movie
features
Emraan
Hashmi,
Abhay
Deol,
Kalki
Koechlin,
Prosenjit
Chatterjee
and
Amin
Raj
in
the
lead
roles.
The
film
is
scheduled
to
release
on
8
June
2012.
