Court to set Salman free on his birthday?

Superstar Salman Khan has turned 47 today. Since it's a special day in Khan's life, the actor may seek an exemption from making a personal appearance in the court. Reportedly, Salman's lawyer might ask the court to dismiss an application filed recently by activist Santosh Daundkar against 2002 Hit and Run case.

On September 28, 2002, Salman Khan's car Toyota Land Cruiser had rammed into a bakery in Bandra, Mumbai. This accident killed one and injured four, who were sleeping on the pavement. For this hit and run case, Salman was booked for culpable homicide not amounting to murder.

It was reported that Salman has so far escaped prosecution surrounding this case as top police officials have been helping him evade summons repeatedly. According to media reports, a complaint was filed by lawyer-activist Abha Singh, who alleged that a wrong set of doctors were examined in court during the trial. And, this was done on the basis of false information given by the cops.

Now the question lies as to whether the court set Salman Khan free on his birthday?
