Wife Twinkle Khanna gives Akshay Kumar standing ovation!
Looks like Akshay Kumar got his Valentine's Day gift from his wife a bit in advance this year! For the first time ever in his career, Akki received a standing ovation from Twinkle after she saw his latest film Special 26.
A source says, "As usual, he recently held a special screening for Twinkle. After watching the show, the actress- turned- interior designer couldn't have been prouder of her hubby." Recalling the incident, Akshay said, "It was a first in our 12 years together as a married couple, Needless to add, I'm more than just happy about it."
Interestingly, Akshay wasn't interested in the project when the script was initially offered to him. However, he's exhilarated to have eventually agreed to play a "different" role.
The actor says, "As an actor, you always want to do something new and I'm extremely glad that the film is receiving good response. This film deserves every bit of it."
