Anushka Sharma to star opposite Hrithik Roshan in Paani?

The reports were rife that Hrithik Roshan has been very excited to play the lead role in filmmaker Shekhar Kapur's ambitious film Paani. Though it was later said that Hrithik might not be cast in the film, the latest buzz say Anushka Sharma might play the lead female role in the flick.

A leading daily revealed that Anushka Sharma has been finalised for Shekhar Kapur's Paani and Hrithik will play the male lead. Reportedly, Paani is Shekhar Kapur's dream project, which revolves around a future world where water wars have broken out, and water is owned by international corporations who use thirst as a weapon of control.

The poster of the film Paani will bear the message, "2040 AD, when the well runs dry. We will realize the worth of Paani." A while ago, Hrithik spoke extensively about Kapur and his project Paani, "I would just say that working with Shekhar Kapur is a lifelong dream of mine. Paani is a dream and I hope it happens."

"I am looking forward to working with Mr Shekhar Kapur and apart from work, just being with that man, in his presence, I feel comforted," the actor added.
