Deepika Padukone's stars are shining bright these days! After grabbing Imtiaz Ali's next with Ranbir Kapoor from Katrina Kaif, Deepika Padukone has again beaten Katrina Kaif by grabbing Shahrukh Khan's next picture.

So, it was said that Farah Khan wants to create the same SRK-Katrina magic again with Happy New Year. But now it has been reported that instead of Katrina, the filmmakers have finalised Deepika Padukone as the leading lady opposite Shahrukh.

Farah Khan is the one, who launched Deepika Padukone in Bollywood with Om Shanti Om. The movie, which also stared Shahrukh Khan, broke all the Box-Office records. According to the sources, Deepika shares a very close bond with Farah and Shahrukh. This can be one reason why Farah and Shahrukh decided to cast Dips in Happy New Year.
