Ranbir-Shahid To Step Into Salman-Aamir's Shoes?

Andaz Apna Apna Part 2 is soon to happen, but this time, the fans might not get to see the Salman Khan-Aamir Khan jodi once again. Perhaps, the latest buzz say that the film's sequel might feature Ranbir Kapoor and Shahid Kapoor in the leads.

According to a leading daily, Rajkumar Santoshi has decided to revamp the film with a contemporary storyline and a younger cast. Santoshi, who has worked with both Ranbir and Shahid in respective movies like Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani and Phata Poster Nikla Hero, is highly impressed with both the actors. Hence, he might go ahead with the duo Kapoor boys for the sequel.

What we hear is that Santoshi is very keen on casting the original Andaz Apna Apna jodi Salman-Aamir even in the sequel. But, now that the two superstars are very busy with their respective hectic shooting schedules, it would be a tough job to get them on board together. "Although Rajji ideally wants to do the film with Aamir and Salman, he is keeping his options open. Since it has almost become an impossible task to get combination dates from the two, Rajji might go ahead with Ranbir and Shahid," a source informed the daily.

When the daily contacted Santoshi, he refrained from indulging much into the details, claiming that it's too early for him to take a call on the actors. "I am still in the process of putting together the script, so wouldn't like to comment on the casting of Andaz Apna Apna 2," he added.
