Salman Khan's Mental to release next year on Republic Day?

Bollywood superstar Salman Khan's upcoming movie Mental has been in the news, ever since it was conceptualised. There have been several talks and speculations over the film Mental's release date, but nothing seems to have finalised yet.

As per recent reports by a leading daily, Mental might get released around 26th January, 2013, which is the Republic Day's weekend. Sources informed the daily that Mental's director Sohail Khan and Salman were initially planning to release the movie mid-January, next year. But now, there has been a sudden change in their plans.

Sources told the daily that Mental might get released next year, during the weekend of the Republic Day. In the last few years, the festival of Eid has been very lucky for Salman Khan. All of his movies, including Ek Tha Tiger, Dabangg, Wanted, which were released on Eid, had hit gold at the Box Office.

Hence, keeping in mind, Salman's relationship with Eid, Sohail was asked by the daily, why are they missing out on this year's Eid? Replying to this, Sohail said, "Whenever Salman bhai's film releases, it's like Eid."
