Shahid: When I Was With Kareena My Movies Flopped

Shahid Kapoor's next Phata Poster Nikla Hero is all set to hit the screens on 20th September. The actor has very high hopes and expectations from his latest after the debacle which was his last movie Mausam. But the actor seems to be relaxed and maintains a calm demeanour. When Shahid was asked that whether his personal life is responsible for the downward spinal in his professional life, Shahid retorts that his most successful movie, Jab We Met, came after he broke up with Kareena.

Shahid said that when he was in the most stable relationships of his life, most of his films bombed. In an interview with a leading newspaper, Shahid said "I had many unsuccessful films. My most successful film Jab We Met came when Kareena and I had broken up. I can only see it from a practical point of view and I feel that some choices didn't work for me. Sometimes I made choices like doing a Vivah, Jab We Met or a Kaminey, which were all three risky in their own ways but they all worked and were some of the biggest hits of my career."

He also said that he regrets doing some of the movies in the past but not everything he had done was a bad decision but certain movies don't work with the audience. The 32 year old actor also added that every other movie star has faced some kind of failures in their career. Phata Poster Nikla Hero directed by Rajkumar Santoshi and Rambo Rajkumar directed by Prabhudeva are two his upcoming movies. One can assume that these movies will determine whether Shahid can again be a contender for the top slot in the industry or will fade into the oblivion.
