Shahrukh Khan and Akshay Kumar are two of the biggest superstars who have made it on their own. No Godfather, no relatives in the industry but still they were able to achieve stardom which millions of people hope for. But all does not seem to be well between the dilli wallahs as recently they were seen avoiding each other at a birthday party.
Akshay and SRK recently attended hoarding king Yogesh Lakhani's birthday bash but were seen coming at different times so as to not bump into each other. Infact it was reported by the media that Lakhani had to cut his birthday cake twice. The problem between the duo started with the release of Chennai Express and Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai Dobara. Shahrukh's CE released on the 9th of August while Akshay's OUATIMD released on the Independence day.
It was claimed by Ekta Kapoor that she was assured by the production houses that they will withdraw their film on August 15 to make way for OUATIMD in at least 2000 halls across the country. But they didn't deliver on their promise. While Chennai Express made a collection of 226 crore, Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai Dobara could only muster a measly 70 crores. Another Controversy had crept during the release of Jab Tak Hai Jaan and Son Of Sardaar, when Ajay Devgan had taken the Yashraj studio to court for similar reasons. Ajay had taken a legal course because of the monopoly exercised by the Yashraj studio in the film industry for some unfavourable manners.
