Ever
wondered
why
the
'Bakra'
(goat)
in
the
upcoming
movie
Yeh
Hai
Bakrapur
is
named
as
Shahrukh?
Well,
the
reason
has
been
revealed
by
the
director
of
the
film,
Janaki
Vishwanathan
and
you
will
surely
find
it
amusing.
The
social
satire
Yeh
Hai
Bakrapur
revolves
around
an
extra-ordinary
goat
named
Shahrukh
but
why
the
makers
of
the
film
chose
to
name
the
rockstar
goat
as
Shahrukh!
Director
Janaki
said
that
she
got
the
idea
of
making
Yeh
Hai
Bakrapur
from
a
newspaper
which
reported
about
a
special
goat
which
traveled
from
Rajasthan
to
Delhi
and
thus
became
a
sought
after
celebrity.
Janaki
informed
that
earlier
the
name
of
the
goat
in
the
film
was
decided
as
Abu
but
during
making
of
the
film,
they
came
across
some
goat
markets
where
the
best
priced
goats
were
named
as
Shahrukh,
Salman
or
Aamir.
"I
felt
for
a
socio-political
satire
like
Yeh
Hai
Bakrapur,
a
name
like
Shahrukh
would
make
more
sense
as
it
suits
the
nuances
of
the
film," said
Janaki.
She
also
informed
that
they
had
to
undergo
much
hardship
in
searching
for
the
appropriate
goat
for
the
film
and
the
one
they
got
was
originally
named
as
Shahrukh.
"We
bargained
with
the
owner
and
when
we
bought
him,
he
was
already
a
year
old
and
named
Shahrukh.
So
we
retained
the
name," said
the
director.
The
movie
Yeh
Hai
Bakrapur
recently
released
its
trailer
which
received
great
response
with
a
million
views
in
just
two
weeks.
Apart
from
the
rockstar
goat,
Yeh
Hai
Bakrapur
features
Anshuman
Jha,
Asif
Basra,
Amit
Seal,
Suruchi
Aulakh
and
others.
The
film
reflects
on
the
complex
beliefs
that
rural
India
holds
on
and
the
conflicts
associated
to
those.
