Ranbir Kapoor Was Paid A Mindblowing 38 Crores For Tamasha?

Ranbir Kapoor, had a terrible year through his movies, and witnessed back-to-back flops at the box office, but it looks like the actor, has not reduced his price tag despite coming out as average, in his previous movies.

The Tamasha star, Ranbir Kapoor, is managed by a company named Kwan. The agency, was recently raided by the IT department and revealed that Ranbir, was paid a mindboggling amount of 38 Crores to act in the movie.

A source close to the movie revealed as saying, "Tamasha hasn't done the kind of business that everyone expected it to do, but it does not pinch the leading man too much. He was paid Rs 38 crores for the part."

It was also reported that Ranbir Kapoor, charged a staggering 30 Crores for the movie, Bombay Velvet, and the film ended up making only 24 Crores at the box office. The actor, got paid more money than the movie could ever make.

Imtiaz Ali's Tamasha, was made on a budget of 75 Crores, but the movie raked in only 61.23 Crores at the box office in 10 days. The Domestic revenue includes 53.46 Crores, and overseas the movie managed to make 7.77 Crores.

Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone starrer Tamasha, has not really lived up to the expectations, and slowed down its pace after a week of its release. The movie received mixed responses, as some people liked it, and some did not.

However, whether Ranbir Kapoor was really paid 38 Crores to star in Tamasha, is not confirmed yet by the film-makers.

Apart from Ranbir Kapoor, it was reported that Hrithik Roshan had taken a jaw dropping amount of 50 Crores to star in Ashutosh Gowarikar's Mahenjo Daro. The movie, has a budget of 100 Crores, and the lead actor, Hrithik, has already taken half of its budget.

Despite having back-to-back flops, Ranbir Kapoor has maintained his pay rate and is rumoured to have taken home a whopping 38 Crores for Tamasha.

IT officials had recently raided the office of Kwan, the firm manages Ranbir Kapoor. Officials has brought to light that Ranbir was paid an amount of 38 Crores for Tamasha.
