Aishwarya Rai Bachchan observes a fast for Abhishek Bachchan on Karva Chauth every year. But this year, the actress celebrated the festival in London, where she was shooting for Karan Johar's Ae Dil Hai Mushkil. And Abhishek specially flew to London to be with his darling wife.
Talking about Aishwarya Rai Bachchan's Karva Chauth, a source told Pinkvilla, "It was the traditional festival of Karva Chauth on Friday and just like any other Indian woman, Aishwarya followed this ritual religiously. Inspite of being away from home and immersed in the shoot of Ae Dil Hai Muskhil in London, Ash made sure to follow all the rituals dutifully.''

The source further added, ''In fact, she was quite determined to follow every single detail attached to the festival. The actress had observed a fast and broke it only after the arrival of Abhishek, who had flown in to acknowledge his wife's efforts."
"Abhishek had bought special gifts with him and also the traditional 'sargi' which was put together by the mom Jaya Bachchan," said the source.
Abhishek Bachchan also revealed his Karva Chauth plans before flying to London, to a leading daily, "I don't believe in it. But if my wife is doing something for my health it's my duty to do it with her. So that is why I am flying to be with my wife".
In the same interview, Abhishek Bachchan also praised his wife Aishwarya Rai Bachchan's performance in her comeback film Jazbaa, "I loved Jazbaa very much. I loved my wife and I am very proud of her. But it is not just her in fact the entire team from Sanjay Gupta to Samir to Irrfan Khan and Shabana aunty(Shabana Azmi).Very very hard hitting film, Very proud of my wife".
