It is revealed, that Prakash Jha, is planning to make a sequel of Raajneeti, and is currently working on the movie's script. The director, says he takes inspiration from the present socio-political scene which is happening in the country and finds it very interesting.
Prakash Jha was quoted as saying,
"I am working on Raajneeti sequel. It is still nascent, but it will happen. There has to be a good time to release. It has not been that long anyway. The film released in 2010. I see there are many exciting changes in our political scenario right now. When the story matures, then we will make it."
Director Prakash Jha, is known for touching the political subjects in most of his movies such as, Raajneeti and Gangaajal. Prakash, is currently gearing up for the release of his upcoming movie titled, Jai Gangaajal, starring Priyanka Chopra in the lead role.
Jai Gangaajal, is the sequel of the movie Gangaajal, which released in 2003, starring Ajay Devgn. The movie was a super-hit and also starred Lagaan actress, Gracy Singh in the lead roles.
Priyanka Chopra, plays the role of a tough cop in Jai Gangaajal, and the actress, would take on the most powerful and influential people in the country. The tagline of the movie says 'The End Game'. The movie, is slated to be released on March 4, 2016.
Coming back to Raajneeti sequel, we're not sure if Prakash Jha, would retain the same starcast, Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif in the lead roles, or get Ajay Devgn and Priyanka Chopra. However, we will wait and watch for the official announcement of the casting.

Katrina Kaif & Ranbir Kapoor are currently working on their upcoming film titled Jagga Jasoos. The movie is slated ti be released in 2016.
