Everybody in the country knows that Shahid Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra came very close during the shooting of their film Kaminey. But the relationship did not work out and the couple separated later. Many say that it was Priyanka who dumped Shahid and the rumoured ex-couple were not on talking terms for the longest time.

Recently, both Shahid Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra attended IIFA 2016 and did their best to avoid facing each other initially and when the duo faced each other at IIFA press meet they didn't even exchange pleasantries. But according to a leading daily, the duo shared a hug backstage after the actress won a couple of accolades at the awards ceremony.

As we all know, Priyanka Chopra won it big at the IIFA 2016, Madrid. The Quantico actress bagged two awards - one for Best Supporting Actress in Bajirao Mastani and another is a special award for the 'Woman of the year'. Priyanka Chopra was also praised for her stylish look and performance at the grand awards.

The actress also shared her happiness on Twitter, ''Thank u #iifa for my awards. Much gratitude... Made it more special because my mom and my brother were there.. Missed u dad #bajiraomastani #womanoftheyear.''

Coming back to Shahid Kapoor, he hosted this year's IIFA along with Farhan Akhtar. They both left everyone in splits with their funny antics. And the highlight of the event was when both of them made a grand entry on Donkeys at the awards (Yes, you read it right!)
