Salman
Khan's
upcoming
film
Tubelight
is
in
news
since
its
inception.
Reportedly,
Deepika
Padukone
was
the
first
choice
to
play
the
leading
role
in
the
movie,
but
she
opted
now.
Later,
it
was
said
that
Katrina
Kaif
has
been
finalised
for
the
movie.
But
contrary
to
earlier
reports,
Katrina
will
not
be
the
part
of
Tubelight.
Talking
about
Salman
Khan's
next
Eid
release,
a
source
told
India
Today,
''No
actor
has
been
decided
the
film's
makers
to
play
the
lead
female
character.
Katrina
is
not
in
the
film.
There
will
be
someone
else.
We
have
not
locked
the
actress
yet."
Speaking
about
the
production
schedule,
the
source
also
added,
"The
shoot
begins
by
the
end
of
July
in
Ladakh."

Tubelight
is
directed
by
Kabir
Khan
and
it
has
a
political
backdrop.
''Needless
to
say
my
films
always
have
a
political
backdrop
to
them
because
that's
what
excites
me
and
I
find
real.
So
Tubelight
also
has
a
little
political
backdrop.
In
terms
of
its
emotional
space
it
is
similar
to
Bajrangi
Bhaijaan.
But
story
is
very
different.
It
is
more
of
humour
and
emotional
space
that
we
(Salman
and
I)
haven't
delved
into," Kabir
Khan
told
a
news
agency.
