A source told Bollywood Life that Amrita Singh does not want Sara Ali Khan to make her debut with a Karan Johar film as she thinks that this would harm her in the future.

''The actual reason why Amrita doesn't want Sara to be Karan Johar's next discovery is because she fears Sara will be lost amidst the many star kids Karan has launched in Bollywood by far including his favourite, Alia Bhatt.'' the source said.

''Amrita Singh wants Sara to stand out and be a star of her own than be an addition to the league of famous star kids who are already ruling the industry,'' the source added.

Sara Was Offered Remake Of Fault In The Stars

Sara Ali Khan was also offered the Hindi remake of Fault In The Stars but Amrita Singh had revealed that the movie got shelved.

Sara In Genius

However, if recent reports are to be believed, Sara Ali Khan might debut with Anil Sharma's film Genius, that would also be the debut movie of his son Utkarsh.

Talking about Genius, a source told a leading daily, "Initially, Sara was expected to debut with Shahid Kapoor's brother Ishaan Khattar in the remake of The Fault In Our Stars. But now, she has been approached by Anil to star in Genius. The film will have his son Utkarsh in the lead."

The source also revealed that Amrita Singh has been actively looking at interesting projects that can launch Sara Ali Khan in a big way. Rumour has it that Sunny Deol had also expressed his interest to cast her opposite his son Karan Deol in his debut film.
