Fingers Crossed! Shahid Kapoor To Play Deepika Padukone's Husband In Bhansali's Next Padmavati?

Excited? So are we! According to the latest reports of an entertainment daily, we hear that director Sanjay Leela Bhansali, who has already casted Deepika Padukone in his upcoming project, Rani Padmavati, is keen to rope in Shahid Kapoor in the same.

Reportedly, if everything goes well, Shahid will be seen portraying the character of Deepika Padukone's husband (i.e., Raja Rawal Ratan Singh of Mewar) in the film.

Interestingly, it will be Shahid's first film with the magical trio: Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Deepika Padukone & Ranveer Singh.

Very recently, we got to see many pictures of Shahid & Deepika from IIFA 2016 events and they were actually looking very cute together. Since then, their fans wanted to see their chemistry on-screen and it seems very soon, their wish would be fulfilled and all credit goes to SLB!

A few days ago, rumours were also rife that Deepika has refused to romance a TV star in the film and she wanted a big star to play the character of her husband in the film.

One can clearly see that SLB doesn't want to disappoint Deepika and apparently that's why the ace director is planning to pair Shahid opposite Deepika!
