According to Deccan Chronicle, ''Deepika Padukone is leaving no stone unturned to make a dent in global cinema. It is this over enthusiasm that may have cost Dippy her Majid Majidi film.''
Deepika Was Very Close To Getting The Part
''Her appearances and interviews in the US during the promotion of xXx too smacked of eagerness to make a mark in Hollywood. The film was eventually met with lukewarm response in the West as well. Deepika was very close to getting the part. But when the pictures from her screen test made it into the press, she lost the opportunity.''
What's Next?
Now, Deepika Padukone is completely focusing on her next Bollywood film, Padmavati. Talking about it she told Filmfare, ''I finished one massive schedule of Padmavati before I left for the promotions of xXx. It's been such a fabulous and creative experience.''
''For 30 days we were continuously shooting at night. We were at it all the time. Yet the schedule felt like a breeze. It has a lot to do with the director Sanjayji (Leela Bhansali), my co-stars (Ranveer Singh and Shahid Kapoor) and of course the crew. We're all energised to make this film and give it our best. I believe we'll be ready to release it even before we know it.''
And What About Marriage?
''I don't think marriage has anything to do with age. It depends on the state of mind of the person and all the situations and people in their life. I don't believe one should define marriage with the parameters of age at all.''
''There are some people who don't get married till their mid-'40s while there are also folks who tie the knot at 21-22. Personally, I'm not ready for marriage.''
In the same interview, Deepika Padukone also talked about the long-distance relationships, ''I don't think I'm an expert with relationships in the first place. Also I haven't dealt with a long distance relationship to know what goes into it. But I do believe relationships are what you make of them.''
She added, ''They can be easy or complex, depending on what two people make out of it. End of the day it takes two people to make a relationship work. As long as they're both on the same page, it's good. ''
