Farhan Akhtar Is 'The Fakir Of Venice'?

Did you know that Farhan Akhtar had to debut in Bollywood with the film The Fakhir Of Venice in 2008? Due to unforeseen circumstances the film was not completed. But then Rock On came along, and the actor latched on to it leaving the offbeat film in the dark. Now after nine years, it is reported that the film is all set to hit the theatres in 2017.

According to a report from DNA, a source was quoted as saying, "An offbeat film, it would also mark the debut of director Anand Surapur, had it released then. However, with no definite plan for it, especially in India, it languished in obscurity for years. Rock On!! came and went. It is now being revived and a release date is planned (March 10)."

The first look has been doing the rounds on social media since a few days. However, nothing has been confirmed by Farhan Akhtar and the film-makers.

The Fakir Of Venice, is a film about two conmen who are hired to find a poor guy from India for an art project in Venice, Italy. The film also stars Annu Kapoor in a prominent role and is directed by Anand Surapur.
