Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, who made a comeback after the birth of Aaradhya with Sanjay Gupta's Jazbaa, has been constantly failing to create a magic on the box office. Be it Jazbaa, Sarbjit or Fanney Khan, all the comeback films of Mrs Bachchan bombed at the box office except Ae Dil Hai Mushkil, in which Aishwarya Rai Bachchan had a mere fifteen-minute role.

Why Aishwarya Turned Down Jasmine?

A source close to DNA is quoted as saying, "Aishwarya Rai Bachchan has turned down Jasmine. There were several loopholes in the script. Although Siddharth and Garima's basic idea was strong, there were many problems with the story, which the actress had reportedly pointed out to the writer duo."

Aishwarya Wasn't Convinced

"After the corrections, they approached her with a fresh script, but Ash still felt she couldn't relate to it. So, she politely informed the team that she won't be able to do the film anymore."

Jasmine Is Currently On Hold

Producer Shree Narayan has also confirmed the news of Jasmine being on hold by saying, "The film should have gone on floors by now. But Siddharth and Garima, too, had other commitments to complete. So, I will not be able to tell you when it will start. It's currently on hold."

Aishwarya Rai Was Never Sure About This Project

Not so long ago, when Aishwarya was asked about the same, she was quoted as saying, "Our talks had stopped around February this year, but now, I will take the discussion further. Right now, I don't know whether I'm doing it or not. I liked the concept, but asked them to make a few changes to the script."
