Are Saif Ali Khan & Daughter Sara Ali Khan All Set To Star In Hindi Medium Sequel?
Saif and Sara Ali Khan had planned to star in the Hindi Medium sequel, as they liked the script and asked time from the film-makers to decide before signing it. However, Sara has now backed out.
Sara
Ali
Khan
to
not
work
with
father
Saif
Ali
Khan;
Here's
Why
|
FilmiBeat
Reports
were
doing
the
rounds
that
Irrfan
Khan
starrer
Hindi
Medium
was
all
set
for
a
sequel
and
the
film-makers
had
contacted
Saif
Ali
Khan
and
his
daughter
Sara
Ali
Khan
to
play
prominent
roles
in
the
film.
The
father-daughter
duo
had
liked
the
script
and
asked
the
film-makers
to
give
some
time
before
signing
on
the
dotted
line.
Just
when
we
thought
the
two
of
them
are
all
set
to
star
in
the
movie
together,
things
took
a
U-turn,
as
Sara
Ali
Khan
dropped
the
idea
of
starring
in
the
film
and
Saif
Ali
Khan
followed
suit.
"The
father-daughter
drama
was
supposed
to
roll
out
in
March
2019.
They
were
talking
about
shooting
it
in
London
and
Mumbai.
Though
Saif
and
Sara
had
not
signed
the
contract,
they
had
agreed
verbally.
The
team
was
also
looking
out
for
an
older
heroine
to
play
Sara's
mother,"
a
source
said
to
DNA.
The
source
stated
that
the
movie
will
not
go
forward
as
of
now.
The
source
said,
"Sara
walked
out
of
the
film.
She
has
given
her
dates
to
another
project."
Sara
Ali
Khan
is
busy
shooting
for
her
debut
movie
Simmba
alongside
Ranveer
Singh
and
the
movie
is
scheduled
to
hit
the
theatres
by
the
end
of
2018.
She'll
also
be
seen
alongside
Sushant
Singh
Rajput
in
the
movie
Kedarnath,
which
is
scheduled
to
hit
the
theatres
during
the
first
quarter
of
2019.
Hence,
the
young
lass
had
to
give
Hindi
Medium
sequel
a
pass,
as
she's
busy
with
these
two
projects
and
doesn't
want
to
be
held
up
during
her
debut
and
promotional
work.
The
source
also
stated
to
DNA
that
Saif
Ali
Khan
was
very
much
interested
in
the
movie,
but
backed
out
after
his
daughter
dropped
the
idea.
"Saif
was
keen
on
doing
the
film
only
because
it
had
Sara
as
the
leading
lady.
Although
it's
a
great
script,
he,
too,
is
reconsidering
the
offer."
The
source
further
commented,
"After
Irrfan
fell
sick,
the
sequel
was
put
on
hold.
But
recently,
producer
Dinesh
Vijan
and
director
Homi
Adajania
narrated
the
script
to
Irrfan,
who's
on
the
road
to
recovery.
The
actor
has
liked
the
idea
and
the
makers
are
expected
to
begin
the
shoot
sometime
next
year.
Since
the
sequel
will
have
a
time
lapse
of
10
years,
Sara,
who
was
the
original
choice,
is
right
for
it."
