Parineeti Chopra Refused To Work With Sushant Singh Rajput: Parineeti Chopra, who has proved her talent with some remarkable performances, has been in the headlines for her wedding with AAP leader Raghav Chadha. In the past, filmmaker Anurag Kashyap had revealed that he was initially considering Sushant Singh Rajput for the film "Hasee Toh Phasee," which was released in 2014.

However, Sushant signed a three-film deal with Yash Raj Films, and his first project with them was "Shuddh Desi Romance," where he was paired opposite Parineeti Chopra. And now, Kashyap has revealed a few details about the film and stated that Parineeti initially did not want to work with Sushant.

Speaking to journalist Faye D'Souza candidly, Anurag Kahyap recently opened up about the casting of his film Hasee Toh Phasee and revealed that his first choice for the male lead was Sushant Singh Rajput.

However, he added that Parineeti Chopra refused to work with Sushant because he was a television actor. For the unversed, Siddharth Mlahotra was later signed for the same role.

Talking about the same, Kashyap said, "He was supposed to do the film (Hasee Toh Phasee) and we had to find an actress and we reached out to Parineeti Chopra. She said 'I don't want to work with a television actor'. So we explained to her who Sushant Singh is, he is doing Kai Po Che, he is doing PK, and by the time Hasee Toh Phasee comes out, he will not just be a television actor."

He also revealed that SSR then went on to work with Parineeti Chopra in Shuddh Desi Romance, which was his first YRF film, which was a better deal than his film.

"And she was doing a film called Shuddh Desi Romance and she must have gone and spoken to YRF, they called him and said 'Why don't you come and do Shuddh Desi Romance and not do that film?' And he disappeared on us," he said.

A clip of Anurag from the interview has been doing the rounds on Reddit, evoking harsh reactions from netizens. Unhappy with Parineeti's attitude towards SSR and belittling TV actors, many called her out for rejecting the then-budding actor Sushant Singh.

One user commented, "During Shuddh Desi Romance, she said he looks like a truck driver and didn't want to do the intimate scene", while another wrote, "You know how she said she would never marry a politician and then did that? I have a sneaky feeling he's going to be of use to her a little later on and she knows it."
