Hichki Story

Hichki is a 2018 Bollywood inspirational drama, helmed by Sidharth P Malhotra. The movie stars Rani Mukerji, Harsh Mayar, Sachin Pilgaonkar, Supriya Pilgaonkar etc., in the lead roles. Hichki is an adaptation of Hollywood film Front Of The Class (2008), which itself was orginally based on Brad Cohen book, Front Of The Class: How Tourette Syndrome Made Me The Teacher I Never Had. The movie depicts the story Naina Mathur, who has Tourette's syndrome (neuropsychiatric disorder). After several interviews and numerous rejections, finally she gets the job as a teacher. How she turns her biggest weakness into her biggest strength forms the plot of Hichki. Music: The music of Hichki is composed by Jasleen Royal for the lines of Raj Shekhar, Jaideeep Sahni, Neeraj Rajawat, Aditya Sharma, & David Klyton. Overall, the movie has seven songs. Production & Release Date: Hichki is produced by Maneesh Sharma & Aditya Chopra under the banner Yash Raj Films. The movie is all set to hit the big screens on March 23, 2018.

Rani Mukerji makes a solid impression. She plays Naina Mathur with great conviction and makes sure you don't take your eyes off her even for a single second. In a nutshell, here comes a 'feel-good' film with a remarkable performance by Rani Mukerji. She gives you enough reasons to embrace this 'hichki' with a smile. There's a dialogue in the film which goes like, 'School ke bahar zindagi jab imtihaan leti hai tab subject wise nahi leti'. Hichki, as a whole passes this exam with flying colors!

It’s a delight to watch Mukerji play Mathur with a blend of consummate conviction, grace and gravitas. It’s easy to feel affectionate towards her aspirations and her unconventional methods of teaching. Performances by Mukerji and her gang of students come out with flying colours on the acting front, the film isn’t high on novelty. The twists and conflicts are painfully predictable.
