Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar  is a Hindi TV series helmed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali along with Mitakshara Kumar and Vibhu Puri. It marks Bhansali's first digital debut with Netflix which stars Sonakshi Sinha, Manisha Koirala, Huma Qureshi, Aditi Rao Hydari, Richa Chadda, Sanjeeda Sheikh, Sharmin Segal, Tarun Arora, and Paresh Pahuja. It is an epic, which tells the stories of courtesans and the hidden cultural reality of Heera Mandi, a dazzling district, of pre-Independent India. On the other hand, it is a pure historical drama, that highlights the life condition and political background of courtesans and their patrons during the 1940s. After creating a buzz on social media, the filmmaker Sanjay Bhansali unveiled the teaser of the web series on February 18, 2023. This is one of the much-anticipated series of filmmaker Sanjay Bhansali, who is best known for his iconic films like Khamoshi: The Musical, Black, Devdas, Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam, and Guzaarish. Released in 2022, his last directorial project Gangubai Kathiawadi was a superhit at the box office.   Makers of this web series have revealed the character's look through the posters which are grabbing from the viewers. Apart from this, this will also mark actor Fardeen Khan's comeback into the showbiz. As per the resources,  the set of Heeramandi was made in the same spot as Gangubai Kathiawadi. Like a drama, it tells eight different stories in a full-length feature film style. Its first song is based on the composition of historical legend Amir Khusro named Sakal Ban sung by Raja Hasan. The song has been released on YouTube with duration of 2 minutes and 45 seconds. its second song named Tilasmi Bahein was released on April 3, 2024 on YouTube and its duration is 2 minutes and 8 seconds. Promotion: Heeramandi has been promoted globally with Sanjay Leela Bhansali and all the lead women cast of Heeramandi on the stage of Miss World to inaugurate its first song Sakal Ban.
