Pad Man Story

Pad Man is a 2018 Bollywood biographical drama, helmed by director R Balki. The movie stars Akshay Kumar, Sonam Kapoor and Radhika Apte in the lead roles.

Pad Man is based on Twinkle Khanna's book, The Legend Of Lakshmi Prasad, which is inspired from the life of activist Arunachalam Muruganantham. He reshaped the notion of menstrual hygiene in rural India by creating a low-cost sanitary napkin apparatus.

Music:

The music for Pad Man is composed by Amit Trivedi. The lyrics were penned by Kausar Munir. Overall, the movie has five songs and all the songs become instant hits upon release.

Pad Man is produced by Twinkle Khanna, SPE Films India, KriArj Entertainment, Cape of Good Films and Hope Productions under the banner Columbia Pictures, Hope Productions, KriArj Entertainment & Mrs Funnybones Movies. The movie will be distributed by Sony Pictures Releases in India.

Initially the movie was scheduled for a release on April 13, 2018 and later preponed to February 9, 2018.

Budget & Runtime:

Pad Man is made with a whopping budget of around Rs 80 - 90 Crores. After the censoring, the movie has a total runtime of 140 Minutes.
