American Blend is about the coming together of people. It's a cultural explosion of a cross-cultural, part Indian - part American family living in Los Angeles, California. It is a story of their trials and tribulations, and their ultimate coming together in a colorful, musical, wonderful blend of both cultures. Anupam Kher comes up with an excellent performance with internationally acclaimed star Dee Wallace Stone of E.T. fame.
The film is brilliantly written and directed by Varun Khanna, who commenced his directing career at the age of 17 yrs, as the youngest professional stage director in India with his critically acclaimed production of Peter Shaffer's Equus. Varun, who lives in Los Angeles, made his debut as a feature film writer/director in 2004 with The Daily Variety calling Khanna's Beyond Honor a landmark film on the Indian landscape.
