The Minister informed that the state proposes to set up a film city to provide much needed exposure to Goan artists and self-employment in the entertainment sector because due to the non-availability of the film city, Goan artists were being forced to go to Mumbai to pursue their film careers. Goa, with its scenic locations, has always attracted Bollywood and recents movies shot in the tiny state include 'Holiday' by Pooja Bhatt and 'My brother Nikhil' by Onir among others.
