IIFA goes back to London

IIFA awards that have gained immense popularity since past few years will now be going back to UK where the ceremony begun seven years back. The eighth annual IIFA weekend will be held in Yorkshire, UK, in June next year. Amitabh Bachchan who is the ambassador of IIFA made a formal launch on Wednesday evening in the House of Commons. UK's Secretary of State for Culture, Media and Sport, Tessa Jowell said that the hosting of the awards ceremony in Yorkshire will prove the growing bond between the two countries.

This time too, IIFA will have it special features like movie premier, cultural events and celebrity cricket match. Apart from this, a special tribute will also be paid to late filmmaker Hrishikesh Mukherjee.
