International Indian Film Academy [I.I.F.A.] has won the prestigious award for 'Best International South Asian Event' for excellence in promoting Indian films overseas. The accolade, which was presented by Professor David Flint of Triangle Media Group, celebrates I.I.F.A.'s global achievements within the film industry.

The award arrives after a successful announcement of the I.I.F.A. Weekend Yorkshire in the House of Commons, London. On the occasion, U.K. Chancellor Gordon Brown presented the I.I.F.A. Brand Ambassador Amitabh Bachchan with the unique honour of being the first international celebrity enlisted to the International Finance Facility for Immunisation.
