<i>Fida</i> maker plans sci-fi project

Why hasn't Ken Ghosh made any film after Fida? It's almost three years since the Shahid-Kareena-Fardeen film released, but Ken is yet to embark on his new film. There was never a dearth of producers for Ken, so what's the problem?

"The problem is, I haven't completed writing the script yet," Ken tells me. Reportedly, he's planning a sci-fi fare with a top actor. "That's true. I am still working on it. I first conceptualized it two years ago, but the economics of the industry were different then. Times have changed and massive budgets are no problem since there's an assured recovery over the investment," he reveals.

Incidentally, Ken had approached Akshay Kumar for an altogether different film, a thriller to be produced by Tips. What happened to that one? "We discarded the idea around eight months ago. An interesting idea may not germinate into an interesting screenplay, so we thought of dropping the concept," he says.

Right now, it's the sci-fi project that has got Ken hooked and having watched his previous works, it's a foregone conclusion that Ken would come up with a technical marvel in this third outing.
