Even
though
Kunal
Kohli
had
won
maximum
number
of
awards
for
his
last
film
Hum
Tum,
the
director
is
not
invited
for
IIFA
awards
this
year.
This
comes
as
a
surprise
when
the
man
has
recent
release
Fanaa,
which
has
the
biggest
of
the
stars,
coming
from
one
of
the
biggest
banner
in
the
country.
Besides,
the
film
is
also
doing
well
all
over.
Yet
Kunal
is
ignored
by
IIFA.
Reportedly, the reason for this decision given by the IIFA spokesperson is that Kunal Kohli is not a nominee this year. Besides they have invited people from the Bengali and South Film industry and also from Hollywood. Therefore, to maintain numbers, they have shortlist "friends", and Kunal happens to be one. But these people from other film industries, too, do not appear on the nomination list.
Kunal Kohli, however didn't seem to be very happy with the people claiming to be his "friends". He confirmed that he didn't get the invite yet. He said that he didn't know the reason why and that he didn't care about it either.
