Reel life Bapu, played by Dilip Prabhavalkar in Lage Raho Munnabhai, put his Gandhigiri into action in real life.

While traveling from Pune to Mumbai on Monday, 11th September, he was suddenly taken aback when he saw a pirated version of Lage Raho Munnabhai being screened in the bus. Prabhavalkar got into action immediately. He called director Rajkumar Hirani from the bus, giving him the description of the bus as well as the license plate number of the bus. Hirani, in turn, relayed the information to Ravi Reddy, a representative of the United Copyright Protection Association [Anti-Piracy Cell].

Before the bus could reach its final destination, in a dramatic turn of events, Reddy along with the police squad from Matunga police station intercepted and raided the bus at King's Circle, Mumbai. Prabhavalkar, who was still in the bus, aided the police and U.C.P.A. squads in seizing the pirated copies of the film.

The accused have been rounded up for questioning and necessary action will be taken against the culprits. Lage raho!
