Biswajeet Ratan Mitra (22), from West Bengal came to Mumbai with dreams of making it big in Bollywood. And to fulfill his dream, he had been approaching Mahesh Bhatt since the past one and a half years. He wanted Bhatt to give him a role in one of his films. However, since he hasn't gotten a break as yet, he attempted suicide outside Bhatt's office, yesterday.

He poured kerosene all over himself and was just about to light a match. Fortunately, a police man was present and was able to restrain him. Although Bhatt had not promised him a role, he had not even told him to stop coming to his office. He used to frequently come to the office. Yesterday, he had already decided that he would end his life. When he went to Bhatt's office, the staff didn't allow him to meet the director. So he went ahead with his plans. He has been booked for attempting suicide. He has to appear in court, tomorrow.
