created
a
record
of
sorts
by
becoming
the
first
actor,
who
has
not
only
written
his
debut
movie,
but
is
also
directing
it.
Mashhoor
launched
his
maiden
venture
Hum
Laakh
Chhupayein
Pyaar
Magar
under
the
Kamaal
Amrohi
Pictures
earlier
this
week
the
'mahurat'
of
which
was
attended
by
prominent
film
personalities
like
director
David
Dhawan,
actor
Salman
Khan,
his
sister
Alvira
and
brother-in-law
Atul
Agnihotri,
producer
O
P
Dutta,
his
director
son
J
P
Dutta
and
his
wife
Bindiya,
director
Shashilal
Nair,
glamour
actor
of
yesteryears
Zeenat
Aman,
singers
Sonali
and
Roop
Kumar
Rathod
and
director
Mohit
Suri.
Mashhoor
said
though
he
aspires
to
pick
up
from
the
rich
legacy
of
his
grandfather,
yet
unlike
the
latter's
larger-than-life
projects
like
Pakeezah,
Mahal,
Daera,
Dil
Apna
Aur
Preet
Parayee
and
Razia
Sultan,
his
film
is
a
contemporary
romantic
comedy
that
deals
with
today's
youth
and
their
happy-go-lucky
lifestyles.
Featuring
debutant
Vishakha
Singh
as
the
female
lead
opposite
Mashhoor,
'Hum
Laakh...'
also
stars
Govinda,
Jackie
Shroff,
Kiran
Kumar,
Mukesh
Rishi,
A
K
Hangal,
Mac
Mohan,
Shehzad
Khan
and
Suvedh
Lohia
in
key
roles.
While
Mashhoor
himself
has
written
the
story
and
screenplay,
the
film
is
being
produced
by
his
father
Tajdar
Amrohi.
The
music
for
the
film
has
been
composed
by
Siddharth
Suhas
along
with
debutant
composer
Abuzar.
Six
songs
have
already
been
recorded
in
the
voices
of
Kumar
Sanu,
Shaan,
Suraj,
Sunidhi
Chauhan
and
Adnan
Sami.
With
the
completion
of
the
first
schedule
soon
after
the
launch,
the
film
is
already
20
per
cent
into
its
making.
The
unit
will
fly
to
London
for
further
shooting
by
mid-July,
Mashhoor
said.
