Actress
Priya
Gill
has
been
out
of
the
movie
scene
for
quite
sometime
now.
We
last
saw
her
in
J.P.
Dutta's
LOC
where
again
she
was
lost
amongst
a
horde
of
actors.
So
after
an
unsuccessful
stint
in
Bollywood
the
actress
is
trying
her
hands
at
regional
cinema.
She
is
venturing
into
Bhojpuri
films
with
Piya
Tohe
Se
Naina
Lage.
Speaking
on
the
film
Priya
says,
"It
is
a
story
of
a
young
city
educated
girl
who
comes
to
the
village.
It's
about
a
strong
culture
and
is
a
family
entertainer.
Not
only
that
but
there
is
comedy
in
the
film
as
well
and
that
is
what
I
was
looking
out
for.
This
movie
is
something
that
every
one
can
relate
to.
Actor
Akhilesh
Pandey
is
playing
the
lead
role".
About
the
language
barrier
Priya
confirms,
"This
is
a
Bhojpuri
Hindi
film
and
I
understand
the
language
well,
as
it
is
easy.
There
was
no
issue
regarding
language
over
here." Prior
to
this,
her
stint
with
regional
cinema
includes
a
Malayalam
film
Megham
and
a
Punjabi
film
Jee
Aaya
Nu
where
she
was
paired
opposite
singer-actor
Harbhajan
Mann.
Piya
Tohe
Se
Naina
Lage
will
be
produced
by
Rishi
Prakash
Mishra
and
directed
by
Balakrishna.
It
also
stars
Kashish
Duggal,
Akansha
Soni,
Vibhuti
Tripahati,
Geeta
Kataria,
Smita
Mishra
and
Sambhavana
Seth.
Priya
accepts
that
she
took
a
break
from
Bollywood
but
never
called
it
quits.
"I
have
signed
a
few
interesting
projects
which
I
would
like
to
announce
in
good
time."
