riteish
deshmukh's
different
looks
as
a
conman
in
Apna
Sapna
Money
Money
is
the
current
talk
of
town.
IndiaFM
caught
up
with
the
man
behind
all
these
looks
-
Vikram
Gaikwad.
Vikram
Gaikwad
is
one
of
the
topmost
prosthetic
artists
of
India.
As
a
makeup
expert,
he
has
to
his
credit
films
like
Sardar,
Zubeidaa,
The
Making
of
Mahatama,
Hari-Bhari,
Aks,
Legend
of
Bhagat
Singh,
Khakee,
Naina,
Maqbool,
Netaji
Subhash
Chandra
Bose,
Rang
De
Basanti
and
Omkarato
name
a
few.
His
latest
work
includes
riteish
deshmukh's
look
for
Subhash
Ghai's
Apna
Sapna
Money
Money.
Riteish
has
three
different
looks
in
this
movie.
And
to
give
him
those
three
different
looks
was
definitely
a
challenge
for
any
makeover
artist.
But
for
an
ace
prosthetic
artist
like
Vikram
Gaikwad
it
was
an
everyday
job.
Starting
at
the
age
of
19
as
a
make-over
artist
from
the
film
institute
at
Pune,
Vikram
joined
Marathi
Cinema
and
then
he
switched
to
Hindi
cinema.
He
specialized
in
prosthetic
make
up,
which
deals
with
mask
and
complete
makeover
of
a
person.
For
Riteish's
look
in
Apna
Sapna
Money
Money,
Vikram
had
sittings
with
director
Sangeeth
Sivan.
He
says,
"Subhashji
knows
me
well,
as
I
have
worked
with
him
on
Kisna.
I
was
provided
with
the
storyline
of
Apna
Sapna
Money
Money
by
Sangeet
Sivan
and
we
began
to
work
on
Riteish's
look
3
months
before
the
film.
I
had
designed
all
three
looks
while
Sangeet
gave
his
inputs
according
to
a
director's
vision."
Riteish
as
a
classical
singer
Sangeeth
arranged
the
shoots
according
to
the
schedules
of
Riteish's
look
so
that
there
would
not
be
any
problem.
According
to
schedule
we
worked
on
the
look
first.
Here
Riteish
had
to
look
as
a
music
teacher.
We
made
a
mask
with
the
help
of
his
statue
and
then
we
tried
it
on
his
face.
We
have
changed
his
nose
and
used
a
wig
to
create
a
different
look.
We
have
also
worked
on
his
dressing
as
he
had
to
look
like
his
character.
We
gave
him
specs
and
a
moustache.
Riteish
as
a
girl
This
look
was
the
toughest
as
we
had
to
work
on
his
original
look
and
it
has
to
be
convincing.
Changing
a
look
on
original
skin
is
something
that
requires
lot
of
skill.
We
kept
his
makeup
artist
for
giving
an
authentic
girly
touch
to
his
face.
Since
Riteish's
face
has
a
very
good
shape,
we
didn't
need
supports
for
the
mask.
We
required
2
hours
to
create
this
look.
Initially,
they
wanted
Riteish
to
turn
into
a
big
fat
old
woman
but
as
per
Riteish's
face
we
decided
to
go
with
a
young
girly
look.
For
a
girl's
look
he
had
to
wax
his
body.
We
had
to
put
proper
make
up
on
the
area
of
shaving
because
a
girl's
face
is
quite
delicate.
So
we
asked
his
make
up
man
to
give
a
specific
touch
on
his
chin.
Since
Riteish
has
a
very
good
face
he
didn't
have
to
put
extra
efforts.
We
highlighted
his
cheek
bones
and
did
some
eye
make
up.
We
did
not
pluck
his
eyebrows
much,
as
he
had
to
shoot
for
other
roles
simultaneously.
Riteish
has
different
shape
of
eyeballs
which
we
wanted
to
change.
So
we
used
lenses.
A
major
problem
about
this
look
was
his
shoulders
as
Riteish
has
broad
shoulders.
We
managed
to
hide
them
through
his
outfits.
Riteish
as
a
Nepali
old
man
For
the
Nepali
old
man's
look
again
we
had
to
make
a
mask
on
his
statue
and
then
on
his
face.
This
look
requires
wrinkles,
cheeks
and
nose.
Riteish
has
a
sharp
nose,
so
we
had
to
give
him
quite
a
flat
nose
that
could
give
him
a
Nepali
look.
We
required
3
to
4
hours
for
his
makeup.
And
we
had
to
create
the
mask
along
with
his
wig
and
attire.
Riteish
was
not
satisfied
at
first
so
we
redesigned
it.
It
could
have
been
quite
frustrating
for
him
but
Riteish
did
not
complain.
Riteish
as
an
actor
Riteish
is
a
very
dedicating
actor.
He
never
bothered
about
anything,
rather
he
co-operated
with
us
completely.
He
looks
excellent
in
every
character
that
he
has
played
in
this
movie.
In
fact
he
gave
perfect
eye
gestures
and
lip
movements
when
he
was
in
the
girl's
get
up.
Sitting
at
one
place
without
any
movements
is
not
easy
for
anyone
especially
when
you
can't
eat
and
drink
anything.
But
he
was
never
anxious
about
anything
else
than
his
performance.
He
was
confident
on
his
talent
and
he
had
complete
faith
on
me
that
made
my
work
easier.
