The
release
of
Jaan-E-Mann
not
only
marked
the
debut
of
a
new
director
but
also
expansion
of
new
technology
in
India.
Jaan-E-Mann
has
tied
up
with
UFO,
a
new
technology
that
transmits
movie
directly
to
the
theatre
without
the
need
of
film
reels.
This
technology
helps
in
many
ways
such
as
cutting
down
of
costs
that
are
going
into
the
making
and
transport
of
film
reels,
it
maintains
the
quality
of
the
motion
picture
and
finally
it
helps
curb
piracy
of
films.
UFO
is
said
to
have
reached
about
500
cinema
halls
in
India
with
the
release
of
Jaan-E-Mann.
However,
this
is
not
the
first
time
that
Sajid
Nadiadwala
has
supported
technological
advancement
in
the
field
of
cinema.
Not many may know this but when Judwaa released in 1997, it was for the first time that an Indian film to have DTS. In fact, Sajid got necessary projection machine installed at the Metro Cinema in South Mumbai. The ironic part is that the then owner of the theatre saw the investment as waste but then the DTS took up in India very well and all the films then on took up the format.
For his last film Mujhse Shaadi Karoge, Nadiadwala along with Prime Focus brought the duplicating software Motion Control for the first time in India. If you recollect the scene Mujhse Shaadi Karogi, where Salman Khan sees Akshay Kumar duplicating during an action sequence and all of them fighting with Salman at once was done with the help of this software.
And well, Sajid Nadiadwala plans to continue with his passion for staying technologically updated. For his next film Hey Baby to be directed Sajid Khan, Nadiadwala has imported a new software from Los Angeles called Motion Picture. The exclusivity of this program is that it can put facial expressions of one person on another. In the film, the software will be used to give expressions to a baby. Besides, Hey Baby will be Nadiadwala's another grand venture where he will be launching another director Sajid Khan. The film will be a romantic comedy with a big starcast like Akshay Kumar, Fardeen Khan, Vidya Balan and Riteish Deshmukh.
With producers like Sajid concentrating highly on professionalism and so enthusiastic about the advancement of Indian cinema, it seems that Bollywood will soon be in par with its western counterpart.
